We know it can sometimes be tricky planning an event and it is important that everything goes smoothly. With this in mind we have designed our hire service to be as simple as possible. Here’s how it works.

Book the equipment

This can be done quickly and securely online. Alternatively if you would like assistance or advice you can contact us here by email or phone.

Collect the equipment

Your equipment will be ready to collect from 9.00am on the date of hire.

What ID And Deposit Are Required

You will need the below documents in order to hire any equipment from us, please also be aware that if you do not have the requested identification you will not be able to hire any of our equipment, and no refund will be made for the cost of the hire.

3 forms of identification

  • One of which must be a Passport or Driving License
  • Your National insurance number
  • A Utility bill or bank statement with your name and address on it (matching your invoice / rental agreement). Unfortunately we are unable to accept mobile phone bills.

Deposit – We can only take deposits on a debit or credit card (cash is not accepted), of which the name must match the name on the rental agreement (hirer). Holding deposits will only be refunded upon return of all equipment in the exact condition they were released and on the agreed date of return, returning late will incur additional charges.

Full payment will be taken upon hire, Please note we do not accept cheque as a form of payment.

Proof of insurance is required for each booking.

These can be emailed to save time upon collection, however these will still need to be presented when collecting equipment.

Lizard Audio Ltd reserves the right to refuse hire to customers if unsatisfactory identification is presented at the time of collection or booking. No refunds will be given.

Use the equipment

All of our systems and packages are easy to use and our staff will provide a demonstration when you collect. All equipment is tested prior to collection. You can also contact our trained staff for help and assistance if required.

Return the equipment

The equipment is returned to us by 11 am on the agreed date.

Delivery, set up and collection service

If you are unable to collect or would prefer an engineer to set up the equipment for you we offer a delivery, set up and collection service in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. The price for this starts at £65. This includes:

Delivery of the equipment to the event at a time and date to suit
All equipment set up and where required cables taped down etc
Demonstration of how to use the equipment
Collection of the equipment the same or next working day, we operate 24/7
